Hands down, with a vote of 123 out of 124 first place votes, Manu Ginobli of the San Antonio Spurs takes home the Sixth Man of the Year Award.
Despite the fact that he is a prolific scorer, a tenacious defender and a reliable go to guy, the other characteristic that makes him a True Champion and Sportsman is the fact that he is willing to do anything in order for the team to win. Even if it means having to let go of the perceived the privilege of being able to start a game due to one’s super stardom.

I have to say that the first game of the defending champs did not disappoint. It was a nail biter between the San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns. I was only able to catch the last two minutes of the second overtime, despite the fact that the Spurs were trailing by 5 points I was pretty confident that they would win it. And win it they did by a score of 117-115.
